Our framework    Culturally Responsive Teaching has components:

  1. Inclusive Mindset:  What does the Educator Believe about their role in the classroom,  what do they believe about their students
  2. Inclusive Practices:  What are the behaviors , practices or pedagogy of the classroom, how do these practices contribute to the empowerment of students?
  3. Inclusive  Curriculum: What are the resources that are used to engage, reflect and represent the student?

In this session teachers will:
– Understand the Historic Context for BIPOC students
– Explore Culture and the Brain and its impact on Teaching

In this session teachers will:
– Develop a critical outlook on how educational systems and policy inform our classroom spaces

In this session teachers will:
– Explore CRT Tools and Resources for their classroom
– Construct Cognitive Routines for their classroom
– Compose a “CRT Community Environment”
Culturally Responsive Teaching 301 Creating a Plan
In this session teachers will:
– Using a Liberatory Design Thinking Process Create a Culturally Responsive Teaching Plan/Structure for their classroom
Culturally Responsive Teaching Evaluation & Action Research
In this session teachers will:
– Cluster to talk about the challenges, opportunities and lessons learned as they applied the CRT Plan
– Revise CRT Plans based on insight and feedback and then determine another implementation cycle
